August 28, 2002 -- Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, USA review by Shaggy Haired Duck

outsmarted

Sugarcult opened up with Youre the one. They did a good job. They played a couple songs, including Saying goodbye, No action, Boucing off the walls, and Stuck In America. They closed with a cover of the ramones "I wanna be sedated". Then Pete Yorn came on. He did an acoustic set. (the rest of his band was on vacation). He was good. Then Jimmy eat world came on. They played very well. They had a rad backround that looked like a starry sky. Although i didnt like that they just kept playing one song after another. They didnt have good stage performance. Soon after JEW got off, special guests Johnny Knoxville and Steve-o from MTV's jackass came onstage and introduced The Hives. The Hives were .. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. They opened up with Statecontrol. Before ending they came out and performed more songs. The night was beautiful..
